The starting structure of a website in more than one language, with everything that tends to be forgotten: that each page links to its translation, that search engines know which is which, that each language has its menu and its 404.

The Basque texts are examples, a starting translation: if you are going to use them, have someone who speaks Basque review them. The README explains how to add a third language.

What it brings

  • One file per language, with translated addresses (/servicios/ and /eu/zerbitzuak/).
  • The language selector, which leads to the translation of each page, or to the home page if it has none.
  • The hreflang tags between the translations that exist, with their x-default.
  • Data, texts and menus per language, a feed in each one and a 404 page in each one.
  • A page that only exists in one language, to see how it behaves.
